Last night I went to a friend’s house for dinner and drinks. After the festivities I was riding my bike home from my friends house around 12:45 am. It is a one mile bike ride.  I am taking the back roads and just minding my own business when a car pulls behind me, so I move over to the side so it can pass. Then I get a bright light shined in my eyes and a cop talks on the speaker and tells me to pull over and park my bike on the side walk. So I do as he says and he comes out and starts questioning me like I’m some criminal. “Are you on parole?” “Are you on probation?” “Are there any warrants out on you?” “Have you ever been arrested?” etc… Then he asks if I have anything illegal on my person or in my back back. My answer is “no” just like it was to all of the previous questions. Then I ask why he pulled me over and he said because my bike wasn’t registered. Remember, this is a bicycle, not a motorcycle. He said it is a city law. I looked it up tonight, and it’s there…along with a $5.00 fine if they decided to ticket me. Looks like a BS (read: bull shit) excuse to pull someone over and bother them and waste their time. Had I not been drinking earlier that night, I would have been a major pain in the ass. Also, had I not been drinking tonight, I probably would not have taken the time to write about this.

P.S. on a happier note, at my friends house we cooked this. Carne asada drowning in mexican beer.

    Love it.

You do look pretty sketchy though. What with your gang signs, bling, etc.
